Visionary Tarot deck -
The Hierophant
Créée pour CLBHUIS, une communauté créative à Amsterdam, où chaque artiste a réinterprété une carte du jeu de tarot pour ce projet collaboratif, j’ai dû créer le design du Pape.
Un symbole de sagesse, de conseil, et de la transmission du savoir. Ma version trouve l’inspiration dans la mythologie égyptienne, particulièrement Toth, le dieu à tête d’ibis, de la sagesse, de l’écriture, et de la lune. Il représente le mentorat et le pont entre le royaume spirituel et créatif.
Les bulles flottantes symbolisent les médiums artistiques, transmis par les mains tendues en-dessous - métaphore de l’inspiration partagée au sein de la communauté créative. Le style visuel mêle les motifs de tapisserie moyen-orientale avec des éléments mystiques inspirés du mange Cardcaptor Sakura, alliant tradition, modernité et fantaisie vibrante.

The Hierophant
Created for CLBHUIS, a creative community in Amsterdam, where
each artist reinterpreted a card of the tarot card for this
collaborative project, I’ve been assigned to design The Hierophant.
A symbol of wisdom, guidance, and transmission of knowledge.
My
version draws inspiration from Egyptian mythology, especially Toth, the
ibis-headed God of wisdom, writing, and the moon. He represents
mentorship and the bridge between the spiritual and creative realms;
Floating
bubbles represent artistic mediums, passed on to reached hands below - a
metaphor of sharing inspiration within a creative community. The visual
style blends Middle eastern tapestry patterns with mystical elements
inspired by the manga Cardcaptor Sakura, merging tradition, modernity and vibrant fantasy.
